I've now got three embryos on board (graded as B, B- and C). The transfer went smoothly. However, the nurse said I'm dehydrated and that my ovaries are very enlarged, so I've been upgraded to a high risk of hyperstimulation. I've been put on bed rest for 3-4 days, and I have instructions to add two bottles of protein shake to the 40 oz of water and 60 oz of Gatorade I was already drinking each day.
So now my daily intake of fluids and medications goes something like this: a 5000 unit heparin shot, a large glass of Gatorade, and an antibiotic and breakfast; water and protein shake throughout the morning; baby aspirin, prenatal vitamin, and another large glass of Gatorade with lunch; more water and protein shake during the afternoon; antibiotic and a glass of Gatorade with dinner; a 5000 unit heparin shot and a 1 mL progesterone shot right before bed. And I'm supposed to add estrogen patches to all of that in a few days. Phew!
My three embryos, it's all for you! Please grow and stay awhile.

Oh, sweet lady.
Please, God of heart's desires and tender compassion...let these little ones grow, thrive, and bring longed-for joy. I beseech your loving and fatherly devotion for Andrea, vessel of life.
I'm not surprised they are concerned about hyperstimulation with all of the eggs that they retrieved! So glad to hear the transfer went smoothly. Praying and hoping with you that God sustains these precious embryos.
All aboard! Thinking of you sweetie--sorry about the bed rest--I KNOW how hard it is. Be good to yourself and I hope the hyperstimulations settles down!
Yay!! The embryos have entered the uterus! Praying they stick around for a LONG 9 months. :)
Stay hydrated.
((hugs))
Wow...do they let you get up to use the restroom?? That's a lot of fluids! :) Love you and your sweet little embryos!! Praying and hoping.
Praying for your womb and your little lives.
Annika, I'm allowed to get up for potty breaks and taking showers, but that's it!
Wow, that sounds like more than I drink in a week! :)
Praying and hoping for these little ones.
Praying for you.
Oh, Lord Jesus, please...
Dreamt about you last night. For some reason I went to the doctor with you and went looking for your husband to find out about your pregnancy. When I found him he kissed me! Woke up very confused to MY husband kissing me goodbye on his way to work.
My husband was concerned when I looked so grumpy at first, until I explained!
Hope that makes you smile. Praying for you!
Praying for you, dear Andrea!
I have followed your blog since I discovered it after learning of my daughter's struggle with infertility. Her 2 A- embryos were transferred on the 27th of May. She doesn't dare to hope after many disappointments .. so I hope for her and pray .. as I do for you.
grow Grow GROW! praying for your little ones... we are thinking about staring another cycle soon as well :)
I'm praying for you! That is a LOT of liquid you are consuming. I cringed thinking of how badly you must have to pee. ALL THE TIME. I'm sorry, that's just where my mind goes. (Small bladder.)
Grow, little embryos, grow! We want so much to meet you in nine months or so. You have a lovely mother, she's really worth sticking around for.
Hugging you from here, dear friend. And saying it again-I'm praying, praying, praying.
