Round 10, Day 11

Single, female gamete who likes Follistim and a fast-paced lifestyle looking for single, male gamete who wants to nestle up in a "perfect" plush home. No preference between type-X or type-Y personality. Might be willing to subdivide or to introduce my friends to your friends. Those with square heads or three tails need not apply.

Our IUI this morning went very well. We felt fairly peaceful all morning, worlds away from our first anxiety-ridden IUI. Everything happened according to plan. Aaron's counts were nice and high again - good volume and motility. From our limited human perspective, all the right factors are in place for conception. But we are very aware that "as you do not know the way the spirit comes to the bones in the womb of a woman with child, so you do not know the work of God who makes everything" (Ecclesiastes 11:5). We're praying that the Lord will see fit to begin a new life today, and we trust that no matter what happens he will be lavishing kindness on us. Let the waiting begin...

Between your super-woman lining this month and his excellent motility, this just MIGHT be it!

In all seriousness, I will be praying that right his very moment, your child is being perfectly formed. I always throw in a perfunctory "please bless Andrea's quest for a child" but recently I've decided that saying "I'll pray for you" involves a deeper commitment. I really will be thinking of you two in prayer- frequently and fervently- over the next few days and beyond. I sincerely hope that I will be rejoicing and celebrating with you soon.

Andrea, your sense of humor is lovely, especially given your current trials. You make me laugh.

I am also praying, honestly praying, that the Lord will see fit to bring spirit and bones together in your womb this time.
