from "God Moves"

I'll probably be listening to this song several times this weekend. Here's my favorite verse:

O fearful saints, new courage take
The clouds that you now dread
Are big with mercy and will break
With blessings on your head
Judge not the Lord by feeble sense
But trust Him for His grace
Behind a frowning providence
He hides a smiling face

So God we trust in You
So God we trust in You
When tears are great
And comforts few
We hope in mercies ever new
We trust in You

Andrea,

I just had a conversation with Art Holmes, the former president of Wheaton. He is the speaker at an ethics conference I am a part of.

Rishi,

He actually wasn't a president, but a revered chair of the philosophy department. Pretty cool that you got to speak with him; he's a Wheaton legend!

Not that anyone will read this since there are other posts now...but Art Holmes goes to my church, and one communion Sunday we sat behind him and his wife. As I returned to my seat with Jack in my arms, he (Jack) reached out and with a resounding SMACK, smacked Dr. Art Holmes, the revered chair of the philosophy department, on the bald head. The funniest thing was that Jack then went, "Ohhh!" and Dr. Holmes didn't even turn around--I think it woke him up from a catnap!! :) :)
